Episode 27: Re-imagining Everything with Kelley Nicole Palmer
Kelley Nicole Palmer (she/her) is a creative, a space holder, and an advocate. She brings wisdom, fire, heart, and authenticity to this conversation in a way that is sure to inspire. She gets real. In a dominant culture that teaches so many of us to stay small, to compartmentalize, and to keep our emotional experiences to ourselves, Kelley’s realness is an invitation to subvert the systems that tell us who we are so that we can discover our own innate truths. The alternate title to this episode would have probably been “Let’s be on some f*ck it with KNP!”
Tune in to hear us talk about...
Kelley’s process of waking up to workaholism, and how she continues to wake up to the dynamics and pressures of grind culture
How equity isn’t about anyone’s comfort; we must build our capacity for discomfort in order to create meaningful change
The ways in which Kelley’s desire to belong interfered with her desire to be her whole, full self, and how she’s worked to heal and come home
Her experience of receiving invitations to facilitate race-equity learning spaces with contractual obligations to not name white supremacy (hint: she didn’t accept)
What it means to Kelley to be in the practice of re-imagining
…and more!
